Thanks for visiting!
The human body is so miraculously and perfectly designed! It is designed so that we can heal from almost anything that doesn't kill us. Sometimes, however, it needs a jump start to that healing process. I am an Occupational Therapist who specializes in John Barnes Myofascial Release, (JFB-MFR). Myofascial release is a gentle, yet very effective form of manual therapy for relieving pain as well as facilitating your own body's innate ability to heal itself.
WHAT IS MYOFASCIAL RELEASE?
JFB-Myofascial release is hands-on therapy that addresses restrictions in the body's connective tissue (fascia) which create imbalance and cause pain. Myofascial release can decrease or eliminate pain and restore movement, thereby restoring the patient to an active and independent lifestyle. JFB-MFR often improves sleep and relieves the anxiety and depression that accompany long-term severe debilitating pain. The John Barnes' approach to MFR is effective for back pain, cervical pain, migraine headaches, carpal tunnel and thoracic outlet syndromes, fibromyalgia, many pediatric pain-related issues, post-surgical pain (after initial healing and medical release), sports and auto accident injuries, restricted motion, chronic fatigue syndrome, and even helps significantly with IBS constipation. My patients have even found it to be quite effective in reducing or eliminating post-COVID pain and difficulty breathing.
